When Club Apple first came to us, they had already been open for over 30 years. However, the past years, they had been struggling not only retaining current gym members, but also gaining new gym members. While they did build up their social platforms, they lacked online business profiles and a website that conveyed their amenities and classes. Through working with Club Apple, I was able to not only create a site highlighting all parts of their gym, but also created landing pages for their social and google ads.
When auditing Club Apple, I noticed through my research that there was three keywords that I should focus on due to volume, competition, and traffic. This included:
This researched influenced the copy on the website, and helped me to find link opportunities related to these keywords. These are also keywords the client wanted to focus on due to personal trainers and fitness classes being a big part of the gym. Through the creation of the site, updating and adding online business profile, and getting links, I was able to increase Keyword Rankings by 123%. With the increase in rankings, monthly gym membership submissions increased by 97%, which increased their revenue by 132%. The gym membership submissions came primarily from SEO, and the social ads and google ads made up 45% of the submissions. The gym retention rates also increased by 60%, as we continued to develop offers and incentives to claim through the site. Finally, through optimizing online business profiles on Google, Yelp, and other profiles, we were able to get these keywords in the Map Pack of Google.
Some of the next steps for SEO includes continuing the outreach process for Club Apple and starting to focus on each of the different classes in the next quarter. Now that we have focused our efforts on the terms above, focusing on the classes like yoga or group fitness will increase the rankings of those keywords. Also, as we continue the outreach process for Club Apple, I hope to see a continued increase in domain authority.
